We provide essential, all-age, independent, impartial, and bilingual careers guidance and coaching services in Wales, including the Working Wales programme.

What We Offer:
- Competitive Salary: £42,763 - £45,863; starting salary £42,763.
- Base: Will be determined on appointment (will be one of our Careers centres which are in each local authority area in Wales) but with agile working arrangements.
- Flexible Working: Agile working and flexitime working arrangements are in place.
- Working Hours: Full-time position with 37 hours per week.

Your Role:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be at the forefront of supporting a modern and exciting tech stack, driving continuous improvement of the Careers Wales website. You will work in a supportive, agile development environment, collaborating with external developers and internal technical teams to implement the target architecture. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working to the principles set out within the Azure Well Architectured Framework.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of the website architecture, infrastructure, and integration pipelines.
- Establishing secure Dev/SecOps practices using the latest tools and technology.
- Automating and streamlining software deployments.
- Supporting the release of code into production.
- Optimising cost resources and monitoring performance efficiency, reliability, security, and monitoring.
Your Skills and Experience:
To be suitable for this position, you will be a graduate in a systems engineering/computer science field or have equivalent experience in a relevant discipline. You should also have:
- Experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role, specifically Microsoft Azure.
- Practical experience of developing and managing CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments of software to Cloud environments, specifically through Microsoft Azure DevOps.
- Demonstrable experience of developing and maintaining a micro-services infrastructure, containerisation, and orchestration; specifically AKS Azure Kubernetes.
- Hands-on infrastructure as code experience (IaC), using Helm, Terraform, Ansible or similar.
- Version control software experience, specifically GIT.
- A development background is desirable.
- Demonstrable experience of working within an agile SDLC.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and keep to tight deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal colleagues and external software suppliers.
- Welsh language skills are desirable.
